The Integrity of Christian Love

July 5, 2015 Speaker: Clint Humfrey Series: Romans: The Letter By Which the Church Stands or Falls

Topic: Sermon Scripture: Romans 12:9–21

Love is a great mystery. Few know what love is, confusing it with manipulation, coercion, deceit, or temporary infatuation. Christian love is a countercultural force because it is rooted in God's own unhypocritical character. The vindication of God's character is shown in part through the simple integrity of Christians loving one another and even loving their enemies; the ethic of Jesus himself.

Outline

  1. The Integrity of Christian Love in a World of Hypocrisy (v.9)
  2. 29 Marks of Healthy Christian Love (vv.9-21)
  3. Showing The Integrity of God Through The Integrity of Our Love. (vv.14-21)
