Just a Little Patience: Enduring Hearts for Impatient Times
June 19, 2016 Speaker: Clint Humfrey Series: James: Faith at Work
Topic: Sermon Scripture: James 5:7–12
Patience is in short supply in an instant world. Every lineup, queue or traffic jam makes us impatient. But the Christian believer is exhorted to remember the soon coming of the Lord. That return brings both judgement for the lost, and vindication for the saved. Therefore, like a hardworking farmer, or even like the prophet Job, Christians are called to have enduring hearts in impatient times.
Outline
- Just a Little Patience, Please! (vv 7-8a)
- Perseverance that Pleases the Lord (vv 9-12)
