Order of Service: Calvary Grace Church March 15 Remote Service via Video Livestream.

  • Calgary Reformed Conference is Cancelled
  • Simeon is still going ahead (smaller,men only, local).
  • Financial needs; Food needs; Toilet paper needs: Contact   info@calvarygrace.ca.
  • Livestream. This is an extraordinary time. Let’s not permit ourselves to prefer church away from everyone else.
  • Assume that next Sunday we will do the same. Unless things change radically. Then depending on the situation, we may be able to add in a single shortened service.
  • Smaller studies and fellowship groups may meet at the leaders’ and the host’s discretion.

Call to Worship:

Revelation 5:9-10

And they sang a new song, saying,

“Worthy are you to take the scroll

and to open its seals,

for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God

from every tribe and language and people and nation,

and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God,

and they shall reign on the earth.”

Come, Thou Almighty King

attr. to Charles Wesley, pub.1757

Come, Thou Almighty King,

Help us Thy name to sing,

  Help us to praise.

Father, all glorious,

O’er all victorious,

Come, and reign over us,

  Ancient of Days.

Come, Thou incarnate Word,

Gird on Thy mighty sword,

  Our prayer attend:

Come, and Thy people bless,

And give Thy word success;

Spirit of holiness,

  On us descend.

Come, holy Comforter,

Thy sacred witness bear

  In this glad hour:

Thou who Almighty art,

Now rule in every heart,

And ne’er from us depart,

  Spirit of power.

To Thee, great One in Three,

Eternal praises be

  Hence evermore.

Thy sov’reign majesty

May we in glory see,

And to eternity

  Love and adore.

Sermon Not Apocalyptic Enough

Closing Hymn

When I fear my faith will fail,

Christ will hold me fast;

When the tempter would prevail,

He will hold me fast.

I could never keep my hold

Through life’s fearful path;

For my love is often cold;

He must hold me fast.

He will hold me fast,

He will hold me fast;

For my Savior loves me so,

He will hold me fast.

Those He saves are His delight,

Christ will hold me fast;

Precious in His holy sight,

He will hold me fast.

He’ll not let my soul be lost;

His promises shall last;

Bought by Him at such a cost,

He will hold me fast.

For my life He bled and died,

Christ will hold me fast;

Justice has been satisfied;

He will hold me fast.

Raised with Him to endless life,

He will hold me fast

‘Till our faith is turned to sight

When He comes at last!

Psalm 34.4-7

  I sought the LORD, and he answered me

and delivered me from all my fears.

Those who look to him are radiant,

and their faces shall never be ashamed.

This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him

and saved him out of all his troubles.

The angel of the LORD encamps

around those who fear him, and delivers them.
