The Background and Significance of Pentecost and Tongues of Fire
Speaker: Jeff Jones Series: Acts & Actions Scripture: Acts 2:1–4
What does Pentecost mean? Was it intended to establish a pattern that the Christian church was always to follow? Or was it intended as a one-time fulfillment of God's promises and a unique inauguration of a new age? Jeff Jones begins a three-week examination of Acts 2 with a look at the Old Testament background and typological significance of the Pentecost festival and the tongues of flame that appeared there.
