The One Man Jesus Christ and the Victory of Grace
December 28, 2014 Speaker: Gavin Peacock Series: Romans: The Letter By Which the Church Stands or Falls
Topic: Sermon Scripture: Romans 5:12–21
Grasp this text and it will change your view of history, yourself and others. See yourself set in Christ in all that he has done for you. How can it be that sin has universally spread? How can it be that grace in Christ is greater than all sin? How can it be that what one man did can provide salvation to multitudes? It comes down to two men, Adam and Christ. The main point of the message is this: The work of Christ for those in him supersedes the work of Adam for those in him: grace triumphs over sin. There is infinitely more grace to be found in Jesus Christ than there is in any sin or amount of sin in you or anyone anywhere in anytime. Read it in verse 15, “For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many."
