Paul exhorts the Roman Christians to have the mind of Christ in the minefield of Rome. He calls them not to follow the spirit of the age but to have renewed minds and thus be transformed into living sacrifices (Ro. 12:1-2). We must understand ourselves rightly if we are to live humble, other centred lives in community, and as citizens of heaven in an anti-Christian age.
